Pupils have joined a nationwide show of strength for the families affected by the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower in London.

Heacham Infant and Nursery School,  Reffley Community School, Sedgeford  and Brancaster primary schools held a Green for Grenfell fundraising day last Friday.

Heacham’s headteacher, Louise Jackson taught at a school close to the tower block before her move to Norfolk  and said the day was to show “empathy and support for the families and children who have suffered”.

The pupils donated £1 to wear  something green for the day.

Ms Jackson said: “It is good for our children to think about others. Although we live in Norfolk we still care about other families and our parents were very keen to support this as well.”
