GOLF: An intense but fun day at Heacham Manor saw the club’s second Pro Invitational event held.
Thirteen PGA professionals teamed up with three members with the best two scores counting out of the four players.
The professionals were guaranteed 36 points, with an extra prize available for the pro with the most birdies.
The lead changed several times with the eventual winning team consisting of Mark Reeve, Paul Bishop, Stuart Rodwell and team professional Paul Simpson, with a stableford score of 94 points.
Professional Danny Poulter and his team of Heacham Manor members, Simon King, Ben King and Jamie Brown came second on 90 points, beating hosts Paul Searle, Andrew Searle, Mark Sewell and their professional James Taverner into third place on 87.
Poulter also picked up the prize for most birdies with five.
Heacham Manor head professional Ray Stocker said: “Feedback from all the professionals was excellent.”
