Consultation ends on Monday into plans for changes at King’s Lynn railway station.
Govia Thameslink Railway is looking to introduce ‘hosts’ onto the station concourse instead of the ticket office being open all day.
Under the proposals, the hosts will be on the concourse to help customers with queries and ticket sales while the office will only be open at peak times.
“Our plans are simply to modernise the way we operate at some of our busier stations,” said a spokesman.
He said the new hosts would be available for longer hours than the ticket offices are currently open to the public.
There will be no job losses as a result of the change which will affect a number of stations, but only Lynn in West Norfolk.Public consultation on the scheme started last month and will end on Monday. See www.thameslinkrailway.com/stationconsultation to take part.
